Sachin David

Sachin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Content Commune. A Journalism graduate from the University of Toronto, he brings a storyteller’s curiosity and a strategist’s eye to everything he does. His vision for Content Commune is to bring independent creators together- a space where writers, designers, and digital thinkers could collaborate freely, without the constraints of traditional “fit-in-the-box” PR agencies. The goal was simple: put people first. From small businesses finding their voice to creators looking for a fair shot, Content Commune was built to champion the little guy on both sides of the table. With experience across sales, customer service, content creation, and media relations, Sachin has worked with a range of clients from solo entrepreneurs to established businesses. His focus is on building relationships that go beyond deliverables, ensuring every project reflects the client’s voice and vision, not a pre-set formula. When he’s not running projects or refining copy, Sachin can usually be found on the rugby field, coaching, learning, or just reminding his players that communication wins more than games.

Ganeesha David

Functioning as the local lead, Ganeesha helped found the company. Her vast experience in media and management holds the key to providing our clients with different solutions. While pushing the agenda close to her heart of empowering small entrepreneurs, she makes obligatory a fair-price policy for whatever Content Commune undertakes. Firmly an ear-to-the-ground personality, her knowledge in Sri Lankan media and deliverables remains at the top of the industry. She handles client visits and, being a near-neurotic dot-joiner, ensures promise is delivered. Having been editor-in-chief of ThePapare.com (Dialog Axiata) for more than a decade, she was wholly responsible for stirring a young team and bringing the entity of ThePapare to where it is today- the premier force in Sri Lankan sport media, boasting nationwide coverage and multiple TV channels. Whilst her career started in administration, she branched out to sports journalism, contributing to all the leading newspapers and websites. She was also the editor of Sri Lanka sports and, just to show versatility, Diriya.lk, a knowledge hub for entrepreneurs.

Partner, Content, Strategy & Technical Operations

Gayashan Thilina

Gayashan brings over a decade of experience in the media, telecommunications, and television industries. He served as Editorial Manager (Sinhala) at ThePapare.com for seven years and advanced to Strategy and Performance Manager, where he honed his skills in financial analytics and planning. Subsequently, he was seconded to Dialog Television as Product Manager for the large-screen business. At Content Commune, he deals with content creation and digital strategy. He has a keen eye for design and is a master at turning out creative videos. Also a self-taught guru in graphics, artwork, and layout, he brings much to the table. His knowledge of online shenanigans and digital technology makes him the go-to guy to handle any form of platform. His data science background tops our efforts to integrate client strategy into numbers and bring about holistic solutions. Gayashan holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Sunderland, an MSc in Data Science with Merit from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (OTHM).
